A collaboration post (or “collab” post) is where a blogger enlists other bloggers or experts in their niche to provide a paragraph of text on a topic in return for a backlink to their blog. It means you can put together some great content, easily, without having to do all the work yourself. Plus, the other bloggers promote you and get you some traffic. And in return you are giving SEO value from the backlink, as well as some traffic to the blogger who contributed.
